About Rich
- Rich Vilaboy is the Founder and CEO of AEM Property Group, bringing a wealth of experience from over 25 years in property management and operations, particularly in the shopping center industry. Throughout his career, Rich has become known for his hands-on leadership and knack for managing large commercial properties and residential units.
- From 2015 to 2022, Rich was the Senior Vice President of Property Management at Cedar Realty Trust. He was in charge of 9.5 million square feet of grocery-anchored shopping centers, ensuring they ran smoothly and efficiently.
- Before Cedar Realty Trust, Rich led property management for a private real estate firm based in New York City from 2010 to 2015. There, he oversaw around 6 million square feet of shopping centers along the East Coast and managed over 1,000 residential units in NYC. His role was crucial in driving the firm's success and growth.
- Rich also played a key role as the Director of Operations for the Meadowlands Xanadu project, now known as American Dream. This 3 million square foot entertainment and retail complex in New Jersey's Meadowlands benefited from his strategic oversight. He has also worked in various roles at well-known REITs like Simon Property Group and Mills Corporation, gaining a broad and deep understanding of the industry.
- Rich earned his degree in Management from William Paterson University and stays actively involved in the industry through various professional associations. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Starlite Media, an innovative company specializing in retail and out-of-home advertising solutions.
- When he's not busy managing properties, Rich enjoys playing golf and participating in outdoor events. He loves spending weekends on the golf course, working on his swing, and attending various outdoor activities with his family. Rich and his wife, Michele, are proud parents to three children: Matt, Evan, and Abby, who keep them busy with their various activities and interests.
